A Unique Educational Partnership
The CCF is a distinctive educational partnership found in schools across the UK. Through engaging military-themed and adventurous activities, cadets have the opportunity to develop key skills such as leadership, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance, and perseverance.
Affiliation with the Grenadier Guards
Our Ash Manor CCF: Army Section is especially proud to be affiliated with the prestigious Grenadier Guards, the first school contingent accepted by the Grenadiers in a decade.
Leadership and Activities
Under the guidance of Contingent Commander: Major C. Johnson and School Staff Instructor: Sgt G. Sisson, supported by a dedicated team of staff, our cadets participate in a variety of activities. These include Air Rifle and Range Days, Fieldcraft weekends, and lessons in First Aid, Signals (CIS), Navigation & Expedition, Skill at Arms, Drill and Turnout and many other activities.
Corps of Drums
Additional opportunity to join the Corp of Drums. Cadets have the ability to learn how to play Side drums, Bass Drum, flute and bugle, with opportunities to attend National Music Camps to enhance their learning.
A Thriving Ethos
Ash Manor CCF thrives on the ethos of being part of the military family, providing students with an exciting, challenging, and uplifting experience. We have partnered with Court Moor School to extend the same enriching Cadet Experience to their students and staff.
Join Us
Our CCF parades on Monday afternoons from 3.05-6 pm. For those interested in joining – either as a Cadet that is part of Ash Manor School) or as an adult volunteer, please speak to Major Johnson, Sgt Sisson, or any of the CCF staff in the school.
