The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

At Ash Manor School, we are thrilled to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) at both Bronze and Silver levels, encouraging all students to participate. The DofE Award is the most prestigious youth award in the country, involving physical activities, skill development, volunteering, and two expeditions to achieve the award.

Why Join the Duke of Edinburgh's Award?

The DofE Award provides young people with an enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding program of personal development. Completing all four sections of the award is highly regarded by colleges, universities, and employers, highlighting a well-rounded and committed individual.

What We Offer

To support all students in participating, the school provides essential equipment such as tents, rucksacks, roll mats, and cooking stoves. Students will need to bring their clothing and food for the expeditions. Good walking trainers are suitable for Bronze expeditions while walking boots are required for Silver expeditions.

How It Works

eDofE Platform

Students will create and maintain an online logbook on the ‘eDoE’ website or the DofE App, where they can upload details, photos, or videos of their achievements. An external assessor will verify the completion of the required sections.
