Attendance 

At Ash Manor School we expect the highest level of attendance from all of our students. There is a clear link between high attendance and excellent achievement.

The table below shows the results at Ash Manor School last year (Summer 2024).  It demonstrates the impact that good attendance has on students passing their exams and achieving excellent grades.

It is vital that all students arrive on time for all lessons, every day.

Please try to avoid medical and dental appointments during the school day. If it is unavoidable, please ensure that your child returns to continue their education after their appointment. Requests for absences during term time will only be approved under exceptional circumstances. Absences taken without approval may result in a fine.

If your child is absent, you must contact the school before 9.00am to report this. In September 2024 we launched the use of the Studybugs app to report absence, and it has proved to be easy to use and much more efficient. All absences should be reported via the Studybugs app. For those people without a smartphone, the absence telephone system will still operate. You must contact the school each day of your child’s absence.
