The Bridge

 

At Ash Manor School, we believe that emotional literacy and wellbeing support are vital components of our education provision and play a pivotal role in ensuring each of our students thrive and go on to achieve their potential. 

In addition to our comprehensive PSHE curriculum, extensive extra-curricular timetable and pastoral team, we are fortunate to have a dedicated wellbeing support area, called ‘The Bridge’; this is available daily to all students who may need it. 

The Bridge team provides 1:1 and group interventions, and regular and ad-hoc support to students faced with a variety of emotional challenges.  These include, but are not limited to: 

Anxiety 

Anger 

Bereavement 

Emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA) 

Exam stress 

Low mood 

Self-harm 

Sleep difficulties 

Trauma 

Our Bridge staff are appropriately mental health trained and can provide interventions in several areas: 

 Emotional Literacy Interventions (ELSA) 

Counselling Therapist Services 

Mentor Check-ins 

MCR Pathways Mentoring and Group Work 

Year 7 Nurture Group  

Young Carers Group
